Chunghwa Telecom (CHT), industrial computing solution provider Advantech and information, network, telecom integration service provider HwaCom Systems on November 19 signed an MoU for cooperation to offer a 4G-based ITS (intelligent transportation system) solution, according to Advantech.
Digi Times — Advantech, the largest Taiwan-based industrial computing device maker, Panasonic and Aurotek, a Taiwan sales agent for automation components produced by Advantech and Panasonic, have signed for cooperation to promote Industry 4.0 and smart factory solutions in Taiwan, according to Advantech.
Taiwan-based industrial computing solution provider Advantech and Mechanical and Systems Research Laboratories under the government-sponsored Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) will establish a joint venture to provide Industry 4.0-based system integration services, according to Advantech chairman KC Liu.
Advantech has announced that it will collaborate with Microsoft to build Asia’s first IoT WISE-Cloud (Wireless IoT Solutions Embedded, WISE) platform. Advantech and Microsoft will jointly develop solutions and products intended for the Internet of Things (IoT) with the aim of establishing a new cloud application model. Chaney Ho, Advantech president, said that in recent years, the applications for IoT have been widely established in people’s daily lives and work. “Advantech has found that the embedded board is at the core IoT and so the development of all types of intelligent systems could naturally be realized for a diverse range of fields,” he said.
