IIJ FY profit grows 21.6% on strong MVNO traction

JapanTelecom Asia — Internet Initiative Japan (IIJ) has reported a 21.6% increase in net profit for the financial year ending in March as a result of strong expansion in the MVNO and cloud services sectors. Net income reached 4 billion yen, on the back of a 14.3% increase in revenue to 140.6 billion yen.

IIJ Group offers more cloud service for China

ChinaTelecom Asia— Internet Initiative Japan subsidiary IIJ Global Solutions has announced the addition of “Virtual Platform VW Series (VW Series)” to their lineup of options. The new service is available as part of the company’s cloud service offered in China, IIJ GIO China Service, which provides server environments that make full use of IIJ’s years of expertise in operating the IIJ GIO Service in Japan.

IIJ, Hitachi Metals seal expanded deal on SDN

JapanTelecom Asia — Internet Initiative Japan (IIJ) and Hitachi Metals, a subsidiary under Japan’s Hitachi Group, have agreed to further their technological partnership, entering the area of enterprise networking solutions that utilize SDN technologies. The two companies will develop solutions that combine SDN controllers developed by IIJ with Hitachi Metals’ Ethernet switch products and will open up new areas of the market by re-selling one another’s products and services.

T.C.C. in Japanese cloud service tie-up

ThailandT.C.C. Technology, Thailand’s leading data centre service provider under the T.C.C. Group, has entered into a joint venture with Tokyo-based cloud service company Internet Initiative Japan Inc to penetrate the Asia-Pacific cloud computing market. TCCT-IIJ Co, a 60:40 venture between the Thai and Japanese companies, has earmarked 200 million baht to set up the cloud infrastructure.
