Tech Mahindra bags Bombardier aircraft ground support system contract

IndiaTimes of India — NEW DELHI: India’s fifth largest software services firm Tech Mahindra has bagged a contract from Bombardier to develop an aircraft ground support system (AGSS). Under the agreement, Tech Mahindra will develop the AGSS for Bombardier’s Aircraft Health Management System (AHMS) for the C Series family of aircraft, a statement said. The financial details were not disclosed.

Tech Mahindra to acquire Swiss firm SOFGEN Holdings

MUMBAI: Tech MahindraBSE 4.41 % said on Friday that it acquired Switzerland’s SOFGEN Holdings Ltd in its quest to boost its financial services offering and reach its $5-billion topline target by 2015. This is the third deal Tech Mahindra has struck in as many months. In November, the company had announced it was buying Lightbridge Communications for $240 million. Earlier this week, it formed a joint venture with Avion Systems, in which it will hold a minority stake.

Tech Mahindra build enterprise social network platform; to roll out to clients

MUMBAI: Tech Mahindra has launched an internal social networking site, to aid communication and collaboration with its nearly 1 lakh employees, and is looking to pitch the platform to customers in the next few months.  Enterprise social networking has boomed over the last few years, as companies look to gain the benefits of internal collaboration without the danger of proprietary information being leaked onto public social networking platforms.
