Delay sought in ‘change provider save digits’ policy

In September last year, the Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) approved the policy for implementation beginning January 1, 2017, after delaying it for more than two years. The MIC previously planned to implement the policy in mid-2014 but later changed its mind, saying it would need more time to prepare comprehensive policies to allow the new method to run smoothly. But Vietnamobile and Gtel said they were still not competent enough to implement the policy as scheduled because they have been undergoing a business restructuring process and needed more time to mature.–change-provider-save-digits–policy.html
