Asia One — SINAHPORE : Acronis, which provides back-up, disaster recovery and other data protection services, will open a research and development (R&D) centre in Singapore. It hopes to make this one of the largest software research facilities in the country within three to five years.
This information was shared by Acronis CEO Serguei Beloussov within the framework of the conference on ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) revolution held in Ho Chi Minh City last week. Acronis has provided reliable cloud backup for financial institutions, banks, multinational corporations, SMEs and individual customers. The company’s customer base includes some of the leading firms operating in Vietnam, such as Korean tech giants Samsung and LG.
SINGAPORE: India is far behind than other emerging Asian economies in protecting its data despite having a huge IT industry, said senior official of Singapore-based new generation data protection firm, which is expanding its operations in the country. “India is absolutely in our global plans to investigate (study) and invest,” said Jan-Jaap Jager, the vice president and general manager of emerging markets at Acronis International Pvt Ltd.
