KT plans $130M “Internet of small Things” investment

KoreaMobile World Live — South Korea’s KT will invest KRW150 billion ($130 million) on building a network for the so called “Internet of Small Things (IoST)”. Korea Times claims the company will launch the “world’s first” nationwide LTE-M network dedicated to IoST, which will allow “massive connectivity between sensors collecting low volume data, with minimum electricity consumption”.
