SEA-ME-WE 5 cable lands in France

APACTelecom Paper — The SEA-ME-WE 5 submarine cable, due to be operational in the second half, has landed today at the submarine cable station of La Seyne-sur-Mer, near Toulon in southern France. The 20,000 km fibre cable will connect France to Singapore, serving fifteen countries along the way. These are Italy, Turkey, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Djibouti, Oman, the UAE, Qatar, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Malaysia, Bangladesh and Myanmar.
