Google’s Android One for Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka

NEW YORK, Dec 23 — Google’s affordable smartphone initiative is expanding to three more countries. The idea behind Android One is to get the world’s remaining smartphone-less five billion inhabitants connected to the mobile web via a handset that is cheap yet good quality, promises the features that everyone expects from a handset and which will carry on being supported with software updates for some time to come. The first Android One handsets launched in India in September and now they’re officially coming to neighboring Nepal, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, too.
