India PC market declines 20.6 % in first quarter of 2014

BANGALORE, INDIA:  In the first quarter, mobile PCs declined 32 percent year-on-year due to a lack of government sales, finds a Gartner study — The combined desk-based and mobile PC market in India totalled nearly 1.9 million units in the first quarter of 2014, a 20.6 percent decrease over the first quarter of 2013, according to Gartner, Inc.

China Mobile Signs E-book Deal With China Publishing Group

China Mobile and China Publishing Group signed a strategic deal to enhance China Mobile’s mobile reading service. With the agreement, the two parties will work together on digital reading services, including content development, e-book business model exploration, operations, and marketing. Financial terms of the deal were not released.
