Tata Communications has announced a partnership with Kaltura that will combine its Content Delivery Network (CDN) with Kaltura’s open source online video platform. The integrated offering will offer an easy way for media companies and enterprises to manage the entire video process, from acquisition to delivery. Tata Communications is a global telecommunications company based in Mumbai, and operates an extensive network of submarine cables and Tier 1 IP networks.
ChinaCache, the China-based provider of content delivery network (CDN) and cloud services, has established a subsidiary in Europe with an office in London. This marks ChinaCache’s formal entry to the European market, a move which aims to gradually cover the whole EMEA market with Europe as the core. The European subsidiary is expected to help Chinese enterprises operate in the EMEA market, and improve network access to EMEA and China for local European companies, including large conglomerates, operators, solution integrators and channel partners.

The proposed firm would be run by China Telecom’s cloud computing subsidiary, according to a 21st Century Business Herald report citing an unnamed senior China Telecom employee. Rumours of a CDN joint venture between the country’s second- and third-largest carriers have existed for more than year.
