India TV News — Mumbai: Reliance Communications’ arm Global Cloud Xchange (GCX) on Friday announced a direct access to Amazon web services via its cloud platform. “Using our Cloud X Fusion, businesses can take advantage of our enterprise grade connectivity from 90 countries to connect their on-premise environment into an Amazon web services port over our global infrastructure,” GCX chief executive Bill Barney said in a statement here.
Economic Times — NEW DELHI: Reliance Communications’ enterprise arm, Global Cloud Xchange (GCX) has launched a direct access to Amazon Web Services (AWS) via GCX’s Cloud X Fusion in Sydney, with the ability to establish additional interconnections across multiple locations and offer enterprise customers fast, flexible access to the cloud.
Global Cloud Xchange, a provider of business communications services, plans to sharpen its focus on China and other emerging markets as it builds an extensive “cloud computing” infrastructure. The company, formerly known as Reliance Globalcom, owns and operates the world’s largest private undersea cable system. It announced its new corporate identity and strategy in New York on Tuesday. “We aim to deliver the world’s true cloud ecosystem globally,” chief executive Bill Barney said in an interview before the firm’s rebranding launch.
