HTC One M8 named smartphone of 2014 in ePrice poll

TAIPEI–The HTC One M8 has been named the smartphone of 2014 by ePrice after almost 80,000 consumers in Taiwan cast their ballots electronically, the high-tech website said Saturday. The website said the HTC One M8, the flagship model of Taiwan-based smartphone vendor HTC Corp., garnered 17.7 percent of the votes cast in the online poll between Dec. 29, 2014 and Jan. 11, 2015, beating the Sony Xperia Z3, the flagship model of Japan’s Sony Corp., by 3.2 percentage points.
